Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (PG)
ben88's review
I saw this movie because I like Greek mythology, although I don't like Harry Potter that much, I figured I would roll the dice on the "teenager with powers" movie. While some of the big name stars surprised me, the movie itself was pretty predictable. I think I'm going to have to wait for Clash of the Titans to get my Greek myth fix.

rjmartindale's review
So this movie does exactly what it sets out to do... it's designed purely for Valentine's Day and shortly thereafter. It's a good movie to "fill a spot" for those romantic types. A series of intermingled love stories and breakups, sweet stories and sad ones that - whilst leaving you slightly dizzy - manages to make you leave the theater satisfied that you've seen a romantic comedy.

TallWil's review
This movie was entertaining, but pretty much what you'd expect from a werewolf flick. There were no complicated plot twists or unexpected turns. A guy got bitten by a "creature." As a result, he turns into a big, furry, killing machine come every full moon and goes hog wild on anything with a pulse. Benicio played a scared and confused guy pretty well. A Hopkins played a weirdo suspiciously well. The violence was cool and gross at the same time. I recommend. Although, had I the opportunity to plan again, this film would not be a part of my romantic Valentine's Day date. She wasn't pleased.
